Sharilee Benjamin, LCSW, LICSW
About My Practice
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and trauma therapist working with children (ages 3 +) and adults in Villa Rica, GA. I also provide online therapy for clients in Georgia, Alabama, and Virginia. I help people facing anxiety, depression, and PTSD using proven methods like EMDR, CBT, and DBT. My approach is holistic, combining somatic therapy and expressive arts to support your unique journey toward healing and resilience.
Here’s what you can expect in our first session together.
Our first session is focused on helping you feel comfortable and getting to know you. We’ll talk about why you’re seeking support and what you hope to achieve, looking at both your challenges and your strengths. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share at your own pace. By the end, we’ll create a clear plan together that fits your needs, so you leave with a sense of direction. If you’re interested, we can also try a gentle mind-body technique to help you feel grounded before you go.
What I bring to our sessions
I bring a calm, compassionate, and practical approach to our sessions, helping you feel truly heard while offering real strategies for change. My trauma-informed background means I can support you through deep-rooted challenges with care and skill. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I combine cognitive, somatic, and expressive therapies to meet your unique needs. By blending proven methods with creative, body-centered techniques, I help you reconnect with yourself and move toward healing in a way that feels safe and empowering.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with people who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, stress, or past trauma and are ready for practical ways to move forward. My ideal clients want to improve emotional regulation, build self-confidence, and create healthier relationships. They are open to learning new coping skills and taking steps toward lasting change. Many of the people I help are curious about the mind-body connection and interested in using creative or somatic practices to support their healing, though this is not required.
